P: We're trying to find out

person who was killed yesterday 
in a street in London. 

Would you mind answering a
few Questions?

M: Of course not. 
 Go ahead.

P: What's your full name, please?

M: Alan Goodenough. 
That's spelled G-O-O-D

P: And what's your address?

M: 14 Castle Street, London NW1.

P: What' s your date of birth ?

M: 21st of August, 1963.

P: And what's your job?

M: I run an ice cream business.

P: Do you have a car?

M: Yes.

P: What colour is it?

M: Blue.

P: What's its number?

M: G 941 HTO

P: What were you doing at 
11 o'clock yesterday
evening?

M: I was at home on my own
watching television.

P: Which programme were you 
watching?

M: I don't remember. 

I turned on the TV and fell
asleep. 
Listen! I don't know why
you are asking me all these 
questions.

I don't know the man
 who was killed. 

I didn't shoot him and I
don't know who did.

P: Thank you very much.

P1: Did you notice two things 
that Mr Gaodenough said?

P2:You mean about the 
television?

P1: No. That wasn't important.

 He said that he didn't know 
the man who was killed.

 Did you tell him the dead 
person was a man?

P2:No.Did you?

P1:No. Mr Goodenough said,
 if you remember,

"I didn't shoot him and
 I don't know who did."

Did you tell him that 
the man was shot in the
street?

P2: No. Did you?
